Measurement of all activities is against defined objectives (outcome-based training). A new training methodology

A new training methodology (Analysis, Design Develop Implementation, and Evaluation of Training):

  1. It is all about performance. It is supposed to be nothing more and nothing less. It is about the enablement to lead and manage one’s own successful business.
  2. The training is a ‘path to discovery’.
  3. It builds competence which can be defined as a ‘Skill or cluster of skills, which are (successfully) executed to a (specified) standard of performance (competence) and of integration and eventually of creativity. The standard of performance, for now, will suffice. A skill is any endeavor in human performance.
  4. Learning should be fun; it should not be boring. This discovery path covers all four learning styles and is designed to deliver a change in behavior, knowledge, business impact, and job performance. Mastering the subject content is a pleasant experience.
  5. The courses are not designed to reward the fastest learner or penalize the slowest learner. On the contrary, the courses are designed to contribute to a successful (business) person.
  6. The learner will encounter new concepts and ways of discovery, such as an individual progress plotter, master progress plotter, computer-assisted assessments, standard operating procedures, and learning materials other than books and observations but to mention a few.
  7. These courses are not instructor-driven and adhere to the theory and practice of adult learning (andragogy) as opposed to pure education in its most narrow definition (pedagogy).
